MARMO ARREDO DEBUTS IN MILAN WITH NEW SHOWROOM AND A COLLECTION OF FURNITURE PRODUCTS DESIGNED BY STEFANO BOERI INTERIORS
On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2022, Marmo Arredo is inaugurating its first showroom in the heart of Milan, at Via Santa Tecla 3. The project is signed by Stefano Boeri Interiors and has been conceived as an experiential space at the service of architects, designers, industry professionals and enthusiasts. Protagonist of the exhibition is a collection of furnishing accessories, also born from the successful collaboration.
Marmo Arredo, Italian company with over forty years of experience in the transformation of marble, granite, natural stone and composite materials, continues its path of positioning and, on the occasion of the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile, debuts in Milan with a new showroom, resulting from the creative and professional synergy with the multidisciplinary studio Stefano Boeri Interiors.
An ambitious collaboration that began with the desire to tell how quartz is a versatile material open to multiple uses and aimed at promoting innovative solutions capable of generating value over time while respecting sustainability.
Marmo Arredo called on the prestigious support of Stefano Boeri Interiors for the creation of the showroom's exhibition concept and an unprecedented collection of furniture complements, the protagonist inside the inaugurated space.

"At the basis of this professional partnership is the shared goal of developing solutions for enginereed stone that are eco-sustainable and flexible, capable of adapting to the current and future needs of daily living" said Marco Scapin, Art Director of Marmo Arredo. "The affinity of thoughts and views found in the conception of the furnishing complements, prompted us to involve Stefano Boeri Interiors also in the design of the showroom, an ambassador on the territory of our creative and productive capacity in a context able to enhance our business reality."
Located in the district dedicated to mineral surfaces - at Via Santa Tecla 3, close to Duomo - the new "MARMO ARREDO MILANO" showroom is on two levels and is an immersive and experiential location designed to enhance the versatility of the products and showcase the variety of their applications. Flexibility is the main design criterion that initiated and guided the conception and development of the exhibition layout, for spaces capable of evolving and transforming without losing their identity.
The choice of an essential presentation of materials reflects, in fact, the desire to privilege quality and eclecticism of production over abundance.
The ground floor hosts the main entrance and overlooks a scenographic marble and metal staircase, the steps of which appear to be suspended, and which leads to the mezzanine, where office space is located.
To the left, the elevator or staircase leads to the basement, where a large agora highlights the group's collection display and welcomes visitors.
The space also includes a projection room and an area with a working kitchen by VezzKitchen, from the international VezzDesign group. Made with a steel frame and featuring the exclusive Klik-klak system, which allows the doors to be easily replaced with Quartzforms® materials according to taste or the desire to change style over time, the installation ensures versatility and is a unique and highly customizable piece of furniture.

The variety of possible uses of the brand's signature materials is fully visible in the 14-meter wall in the basement covered by Tecla, the quartz boiserie, an unprecedented piece of furniture designed by Stefano Boeri Interiors and presented in different finishes: countless patterns and processing effects can be applied (glossy, matte, three-dimensional, etc.). The wall also hosts the system of module containers covered with the same texture as the boiserie, elements that can be inserted in multiple forms in the design.
Another distinctive space of the showroom is the "Mock up lab," a real design laboratory, where the materioteca of Marmo Arredo products comes to life: marbles and quartz, but also woods, metals and fabrics, all available to architects, designers and industry professionals interested in design.
At the center of the "Mock up Lab," there is the exclusive furnishing proposal that the company is presenting at the Salone del Mobile Milano 2022: Chiglia, the table composed of two glass legs, transparent and minimal, which enhance the quartz slab of the top, available in different colors and sizes: in fact, the surface seems to float in mid-air, endowing itself with an unparalleled aesthetic impact.
Finally, inside the showroom there is "wellness" room, which recreates the environment of a functional spa, that stands out to showcase the application in a wet room of both quartz on the floor and marble on the wall, both proposed in shades of green.

In the design, of fundamental importance for Marmo Arredo was taking care of the lighting in the smallest details, in order to enhance the authentic beauty of the colors and finishes of the materials.
The realization of the lighting direction was therefore entrusted to iGuzzini, which was able to promptly acknowledge the requests of Stefano Boeri Interiors and meet the needs of Marmo Arredo.
The need for a lighting system capable of enhancing the aesthetics of clean and essential environments and, at the same time, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers, found maximum expression in the recessed systems Blade R, iN60 Space and Linealuce 47 in the TW version; a lighting system that, thanks to punctual, radiant and homogeneous effects, provides an effective and complete response to the wishes of designers and clients.
"The first Marmo Arredo showroom in Milan is located at the center of the district dedicated to mineral surfaces, and countless historical architectures surround it, showing how these raw materials give character to the city's most iconic places: from Milan Cathedral to Palazzo Marino, from the facade of the Palace of Justice to the floors of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. In designing this new space, we wanted to create a unique venue: an exhibition location, yet one that is flexible to the needs of a dynamic company like Marmo Arredo. A place capable of meeting the needs of professionals, but also of accomodating different audiences. In conceiving it, we wanted to enhance the diverse applicability of products we have made based on a high-quality raw material, which deserves, in every context in which it is introduced, to be the protagonist," say architects Stefano Boeri and Giorgio Donà, co-founders of Stefano Boeri Interiors.
