The project involved the comprehensive renovation and expansion of MDMX’s offices to update the existing workplace to support the company’s evolving work dynamics. The intervention was designed to align the offices with the company’s international corporate standards, reinforcing a spatial identity that is coherent, contemporary, and highly functional.
The proposal increased operational capacity while modernizing the existing interior infrastructure. The scope included the renovation of an occupied office floor and the fit-out of an additional level. As a result, the project was carefully planned around operational continuity, phased construction, and seamless integration with the existing building systems, ensuring uninterrupted business operations throughout the construction process.
The renovation introduced a new spatial organization tailored to a variety of work styles. A range of enclosed spaces was incorporated to support meetings, phone calls, and collaborative work, including phone booths, a project room, and multiple meeting rooms. Meanwhile, workstations remained within an open-plan layout, where the arrangement of work clusters was optimized to improve occupancy, circulation, and interaction between teams. The lighting system was also upgraded to enhance visual comfort and improve the overall environmental quality of the workplace.
The project also introduced new spaces dedicated to wellbeing and social interaction. A wellness room was incorporated to provide employees with a quiet environment for relaxation and focused work, while a coffee station was designed to encourage informal encounters and collaboration among colleagues. In addition, the existing cafeteria was expanded to accommodate the increased number of users, transforming it into a larger, more flexible, and functional communal space. Together, these interventions enrich the daily workplace experience by promoting wellbeing, interaction, and collaboration.
The result is a renewed workplace that responds to the company’s current operational needs while strengthening the everyday experience of its users. The project clearly reflects the organization’s culture, corporate identity, and global workplace standards.
