Spanning 500 sq. ft. with a soaring double-height ceiling, this balcony is a seamless blend of modern comfort and Indian heritage. Designed as a space to unwind, every detail has been thoughtfully curated to balance function with tradition.
The original wooden deck has been replaced with patterned Spanish tiles in deep Indigo and warm Ochre, bringing vibrancy underfoot. A false ceiling softens the vastness of the space while allowing for carefully placed lighting that enhances the natural daylight pouring in.
With the decor inspiration is centring around Modern Indian elements, the space pays homage to the beauty in the old – freely incorporating antique elements into the design plan. Antique accents add a sense of history and character. A brass statue of Lord Krishna, set on a custom pedestal, stands as a quiet focal point, flanked by two traditional brass Samais. Wrought iron statement chandeliers suspended from brass chains, sway gently overhead, casting a warm glow. The hand-painted pillar and framed Tikri art pieces bring layers of artistry, while two oversized mirrors reflect light and depth, creating a feeling of openness.
At the heart of the space sits a handcrafted teak-wood day bed, complete with traditional pillars – a perfect spot to enjoy a slow morning coffee or an evening wind-down. The decor plays with bold Indian patterns and rich hues like fuchsia pink and bright yellow, adding energy without overwhelming the serenity of the space. A Biophilic arrangement of greenery lines the balcony, seamlessly connecting it with the open landscape beyond.
This balcony isn’t just a space – it’s a story of comfort, culture, and timeless design. A place where modern ease meets cultural richness, creating a retreat that feels personal, welcoming, and timeless. It showcases the right balance between minimalist manageability and the luxury of Indian decor.
