The redevelopment scheme of the monument to General Augier generates a symbolic, visual and material relationship between the commemorative memorial, the surrounding area and mankind. The perpendicular composition of the elements establishes a set viewpoint and the optical cones become the key to interpreting the constructed space. The eye settles on the curtains of Cor-ten steel, the wood, cobbles and the white stone.
