The new supermarket in the centre of St. Martin blends harmoniously with the landscape and the structure of the existing buildings around the site. A sensitive handling of the topographic conditions and a use of natural materials like wood and concrete create identity for the community and its population. Embedded in a slightly descending sloping site, the building opens to the town with ceiling high glazing. A covered outdoor area forms a flowing transition from outside to inside and vice versa.
