Implementation period: 2015-2020
«My Street» is the largest complex improvement project in the modern history of Moscow. As part of the update, the work was carried out to create a comfortable urban environment – streets were reconstructed, fronts were repaired, a network of bike paths and dozens of other transformations of this kind were organized. Hundreds Russian and foreign architects took part in the project, and one of the founders of the program is considered the Danish architect Jan Gale, who expressed the idea to reconstruct Moscow public spaces.
The program is based on the concept of a "pedestrian center," which involves "returning" streets to pedestrians and cyclists and reducing the space for cars. The standard complex of transformations includes paving, expanding sidewalks with laying granite paving tiles, taking wires underground, planting trees and shrubs, installing bike racks and arranging bike paths, installing benches and lamps, and placing information stands.
Today, thanks to the program «My Street», more than 150 streets have been transformed in Moscow – and every year this number will increase.
Punto Design company is actively involved in the program.
