Nestlé, one of the world’s most trusted names in food and beverages, faced a challenge many organizations share today: how to design a workplace that truly draws people back in. The goal was not just to refresh the office, but to redefine it - creating a space that reflects Nestlé’s identity while meeting the evolving needs of a modern, hybrid workforce.

Designing with Purpose
Space Matrix envisioned a workplace that embodies Nestlé’s guiding principles - the 4Cs: Contemplation, Collaboration, Communication, and Concentration. Each design decision was rooted in these values, resulting in a space that supports diverse work styles, encourages meaningful interactions, and fosters a deep sense of belonging.

A Symbolic Beginning
The transformation begins right at the entrance, where a stunning tree-like column - symbolizing Nestlé’s ‘Tree of Life’ - greets employees and visitors. More than a design feature, it sets the tone for the entire workspace: a celebration of nature, growth, and community.

The ‘Machan’ Experience
One of the most distinctive features of the new office is the Machan - an elevated platform extending from the work floor, overlooking a breathtaking triple-height business garden. Designed as both a collaborative space and a vantage point for team gatherings, the Machan encourages spontaneous interaction and offers employees a refreshing change of perspective.

The Business Garden – Nature at the Heart of Work
At the core of the design lies the business garden, a lush green sanctuary that weaves through every level of the workspace. This immersive landscape blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors, promoting mindfulness, creativity, and well-being. Serving as a central Town Hall, the garden hosts gatherings, casual meetings, and quiet reflection alike.
Each level is thoughtfully designed with varied seating - swings, organic-shaped tables, and flexible zones - inviting employees to connect, collaborate, or simply unwind. By bringing teams together in natural, open environments, the design encourages organic conversations that often spark innovation.
