This regional maintenance depot house is the fire station, the samaritans association and a recycling station. together with the substation of the Liechtenstein power stations, the building creates a clear boundary in front of the bordering pine wood. The compact building complex is very different to tradional industrial developments and embodies its public function. the layout relies on the separation of the various functional units, to prevent mutual interference from the outset. the pine wood facade is made of vertical lamellae and gives the building its architectural expression, as well as establishing a dialogue with the neighboring pine forrest. the facade system was extremely economical to produce and to maintain and its design is determined by function of the interior rooms. it also meets additional criteria such as illumination, heat and wine protection.
