The lower Ground floor of this semi detached 4 story family house in Highgate was extended to accommodate a large open space living area, seamlessly flowing outdoors to a raised deck and south facing garden.
A feature wall integrated within the light- weight glazed extension subtly redefined the main living space.
The clients requirement to house AV equipment in the lower part of the feature wall, ‘pushed’ outwards and up a segment of the deck, forming a hardwood wooden bench facing the garden.
This 1.5meter extension transformed what used to be a dark and crowded part of the house into a light and spacious family area.
