There is no better way to test the possibilities of a material than putting it in it’s limits. Saying this i believe that the thechnology developed by EURAMAX is trully innovative and can be used to achieve wonderfull designs that involves not only color but variation of form and interaction with it’s surroundings.
I found that the facade has some elements that probably would reappear after the winner design is applied. This can be compared with the restriction of the windows, we can’t make it disappear even if we wanted, because it is a functional element of the facade. We only can change it or use it. This also happen with the outside lighting and the camera placed there. This, combined with the possibilities of the material was the inspiration for my design, trying to blend these functional elements in the composition of the facade, making them even more visible. This is possible by using deep and colorful pieces that are highlighted by changes in the height of the aluminum sheets, making a 3D composition in the wall.
The design also tries to catch the people passing by in the sidewalk by making them feel part of the wall, watching how they stand in a white that slowly transform into different colors as they move their sight up.
