A challenging project to re-develop the iconic Oakleigh Motel, which has stood on Dandenong Road since 1957. The architects and client prepared a design that would retain the features of the Motel, while providing new amenity as a townhouse development. The Genus brief was to provide landscaped areas to complement the development and this was achieved with native planting, connecting paths for residents and low level lighting throughout the project.
