In the design of the new headquarters of the agriculture and horticulture corporation Agrifirm in Apeldoorn, the identity of the corporation has been strongly taken into account. The property has a sturdy contemporary character, with industrial accents from the nineteenth century. Also the interior of the building reflects the identity of Agrifirm.

The property consists of two rectangular wings, both of which run parallel to the two adjacent roads. Both wings are about 15 x 60 meters and span 3 floors each. The connecting hall, which also forms the entrance of the building, brings the two wings together. Underneath the building a basement has been placed, where a parking garage and facility areas are located.

The straight and simple shapes are a direct reference to the past. However, the gray steel accents in the gables refer to today's silos and give an industrial feel to the design. In this way, old and new come together in a unique way and the building presents a robust, modern and tough character. This brings the design close to the identity of the company.

Interior The interior of the property has a warm and tough look, due to the use of natural materials such as wood, concrete and glass. The entrance hall is accessed via a large steel staircase and presents itself as a several metre high open space that occupies several floors of the building. The glass entrance with its tough steel columns allow light to penetrate deep into the entrance area.

Throughout the building plastic panels are used with dried grass and different types of corn. With the use of large prints throughout the interior, the identity of the corporation is well reflected.

The office building is also designed according to the principles of the 'New Work', but in a way specific to 'Agrifirmse'. This means that flexible workplaces, concentration areas, meeting places and consultation spaces are present. However, the departments are placed together in order to bond with each other and use each others specializations and talents.
