This project concerns the restoration of the underground of an important historical residence of the city. The private client intended to make these spaces usable again, long unused and in poor conditions of conservation, to host artistic and cultural events open to the public.
The intervention is designed with the desire to preserve the space in all its original features, introducing a few elements of distinct contemporaneity able to perform all the functions required by the new intended use and, at the same time, to create a contrast between the ancient and the contemporary in the perspective of a reciprocal valorization.
