Inspired by Arc De Triomple De L’ETOILE, the proposal incorporates one of the most iconic architecture features in Paris – the arches - and uses them to engage the city, the public and the private in various ways.
The housing elements are sitting on an elevated platform supported by two row of steel arches. The arches raise the platform up, maintaining the views between the street and the River Seine.

On the river side, the arches extend down to quay level and become docks for the boats on The Seine while on the street side, the platform together with the arches creates a strip of shaded public space with unique arched frames where people can take a pause, gather and enjoy the riverfront view.

The arches create porosity in the otherwise sculptural units, providing a playful arrangement of light, air and view at all levels. The raised platform creates additional public riverfront space for all and provides an alternate solution for traffic and circulation while the river floods. The arches on this level become home for protected public amenities and semi-private lobby for the residents depending on the unit typology and aggregation method.
On upper levels, the residents have access to shared arched terraces where they can meet their neighbors, do yoga or just relax with the backdrop of the River Seine and a mesmerizing view of the city of Paris.
