The “PASSEGGERI” complex is located on the outskirts of Avigliana city (province of Turin). It’s consists of 5 buildings with different dimensions and destinations, whose ground plan identifies a central pedestrian square with passage function to access the various units and common meeting. In the basement there is a parking lot. The three-story buildings accomodate shops and offices, the buildings in a plan accommodate shopping activity. At the center of the square there is a bar. The finishes and materials used are the same in order to give a consistent look. The outer skin "perimeter" of the intervention defines a pattern "barcode" alternating bands of ventilated façade in brick, sheet metal bands and stained glass windows. The elevations inside the square are fully glazed, with shelters made of steel and glass and aluminum sunscreens. The bar repeat the "bar code" in a daring key, with coated aluminum sheets alternated by strips of white glazed facade.
