Pedrali Pavilion: between past, present and future

For the company's 60th anniversary, a special installation signed by AMDL
CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi with an exhibition curated by Luca Molinari
Studio

In 2023 Pedrali celebrates an anniversary to remember: 60 years since the foundation of the company. It was1963 when Mario Pedrali, driven by the passion for his work and the desire to experiment and make hisdreams come true, inaugurated his craft workshop in Palazzolo sull'Oglio, in the province of Brescia,
specialised in the production of his first outdoor seating collections in forged iron. Thus began the story of Pedrali, lived since its origins in the wake of beauty, tradition and innovation. Keywords, the latter, which find their maximum realisation in 100% Made in Italy industrial design products.

The setting for the company's 60th anniversary celebrations will be the  Pedrali Pavilion, designed by AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, which will open in September at the Headquarters in Mornico Al Serio (Bergamo), establishing itself as a celebratory installation of a reality that has its roots in family and follows the
entrepreneurial values always looking to the future. “The Pedrali Pavilion is an architecture with legs, which tells us that we must walk, that we must move, that we are in an era of transformation and that it becomes increasingly necessary to use recyclable materials, such as wood. Wood comes from trees, today the most
precious resource that the planet provides us in order to balance the imbalances that we, as mankind, create”declares the Architect Michele De Lucchi.

The Pedrali Pavilion will host the exhibition “Pedrali60, we design a better future” curated by Luca Molinari Studio. “The exhibition is a critical reinterpretation of an important corporate history of Italian design and, at the same time, a glimpse into the future built through the strong coherence with the entrepreneurial and innovative characteristics that are typical of Pedrali's world. Community, research, experimentation, sustainability, widespread quality, strong ties with the territory and dialogue with the designers will be some of the elements that characterise the exhibition and its paths that will soon open to the public” says Luca Molinari.

Perseverance, passion and dedication. These are the resilient characters that will continue to drive the company towards constant growth and renewal. A goal, 60 years of age, which does not represent a point of arrival but a stimulus towards tomorrow's progress and challenges.

“Starting from our roots and following the teachings of our father Mario, we continue to build Pedrali's history, which is the result of the teamwork of all our collaborators who have always believed in the company and, every day, are committed to achieving common goals. We would like to thank AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, together with Luca Molinari Studio, for helping to make this journey even more special” continue Monica and Giuseppe Pedrali, CEOs of the company.

“The pavilion is like a large roof that stands on its own two legs, accessed via a staircase that is also a grandstand where people, visitors, spectators can stay together. In this mobile and movable exhibition space, shows and events can be staged, which tell the story of the existence of a company, a community of people building together something that deserves to be built, distributed, sold, told, combining together the destinies of many individuals”, concludes Architect Michele De Lucchi. Paths and stories enclosed in a single frame: the Pedrali Pavilion, which will forever remain the company's heritage.
