In the bustling center of Saigon, Poet is like a pure girl, slowly walking on the street, holding flowers, singing the love days of life.
Poet – Tea Coffee Flower (Poet) is a cafe space located inside the old block, which used to be a place for many types of services in the past. Although located in the center of Saigon, the context surrounding Poet is a quiet area – a pleasant contrast.
Overall color in Poet is a space with cream and earth tone as a background with an emphasis on feminine pink mixed with green. The space does not puzzle the customer’s vision with layers of separation but spreads out in front of their eyes, all with gentle guidance.
Poet’s grace lies in the little things: A branch gently touches the tabletop, the colors of fresh flowers, hanging paintings, postcards – all creating a colorful space in both view and experience.
The spatial arrangement of Poet can be seen as side-by-side, evasive, gentle stories. These are clusters of round tables sitting freely interspersed with green arrays. Some areas overlook the large table area with flower arrangements always taking place.
“The arrangement can be considered as one of the brand-oriented treatment solutions in the typical tube house-style space in Vietnam. They create a reciprocal visual interaction between sitting aoreas, an intimate and cozy afternoon tea.”
Poet has a high façade, the width of the block is relatively wide, so that Poet is always ready to receive natural light through the large glass doors, creating a clear, improvised rhythm.
As night falls, Poet deepens with soft lights, focused and distilled – narrative in the space accordingly unfolded.
We do not orient the design development of the space according to the emphasis but intentionally create a smooth flow throughout. Each story is quietly recorded in the middle of the street that is always bustling with people passing by.
