What is under a bridge is important too; we dreamt of building a bridge like this the project presents a new symbolic image of Pordenone: the new gateway to the city, through the water in its materials and technologies the project represents the history and geography of the place, the environmental and landscape qualities of the area those who will walk across the new Bridge will experience the feeling of "entering," the particular sensation of "crossing" the river that its wave-like conformation makes perceptible at different scales they will also feel the magical feeling of "losing the horizon and then finding it again" when driving up and down the bridge.

the elements of the dynamic composition of the new Bridge are: an upper, wide, fast roadway, conformed in the shape of a “humpback”, like an ancient Roman bridge a lower, sinuous, slow-moving cycle-pedestrian way that wraps around the Bridge from below a waterway moving at the base of the Bridge, represented by the course of the flowing riverbed.

the bridge decks are supported by multiple, sloping piers that emerge from the riverbed as robust parts of the river vegetation. the origin of the design are the respect for the history and geography of the place, the enhancement of the suggestions in the area, the urban and natural landscape of reference.

the perception of the new Bridge from the surrounding landscape and the perception from the new Bridge on the surrounding landscape make it an architecture aimed at people and the city, a cultural work as well as a technical and functional one therefore, the idea of the bridge is oriented to develop a project of high architectural and engineering quality that conforms a real "gateway on the water" for the city of Pordenone with special attention to the integration of the work into the environment to become a significant part of the territory.
