Que Serà Serà_ B&B in Rome

Giulia Verna Architecture & Yacht Design as Architects

Que Serà Serà is the Bed and Breakfast in Rome of two young siblings. They had an apartment in the neighbor of the city center and the request was to create an “home far from own home” for the tourists and for all the people that usually comes to Rome t work or business.

The apartment is of less of 90 mq and they needed at least three rooms with a private bath and a common space for the kitchen and the living room… and we realized them needs. At the entrance we have a big common space with a small check in desk and a big blackboard all around the wall like an huge guest book. In the other side of the room is the kitchen particularly colored in magenta purple and grey, three tables and chairs for the breakfast and a comfortable sofa bed. To characterize the space is the magenta purple color of the kitchen also on the walls of the living and in the corridor that goes to the three bedrooms.

Each room is double with the option to have two separate beds or a big one and has a private bath. We used different wall decorations and colors for the upholstery to make every room unique putting attention to keep the atmosphere clean and bright. The colors of the walls are black and white in order to keep the theme of the blackboard of the entrance and give continuity to our design, just changing the size and the orientations of the stripes we obtained different style in each room. Even for the baths we use the same tiles but changing the orientation of pieces we obtained different effects in each one.
