The project is developed in three levels and opens on each one towards the exterior. By means of open spaces- gardens and terraces- the plans are developed as platforms on each floor. A basement connects with the main garden, located half a level underneath the main space destined to the living and dining rooms. The studio, kitchen and dining room are half a level up the main access connecting the house to the back side and to the living room and dining room with a stepped terrace. The upper level has views towards both this terrace and the front garden and each room is developed through a longitudinal lounge which opens to the stairs and goes down to the access floor and another staircase which goes upwards to the terrace. This central space on the first floor is illuminated with a skylight on the stair that goes to the terrace and others that are repeated in bathrooms, dressing rooms and bedrooms.
The project, by taking the existing structure of a 1940s house, uses as much as possible of the advantages of the original solution designed by architect Víctor de la Lama and tries to disguise the overlap between the new and the old.
