This playful holiday home utilises natural elements to reflect its rural surrounds. Natural timbers line floor, walls and ceilings and imbue a sense of warmth and escape into the dwelling. The site overlooks a vast stretch of ocean and farmland, however, entry into the home is choreographed to hide the excitement of the property's panoramic views until the very last moment - just before the visitor enters the dwelling. Vast glazed panels open up the living and dining areas to the rural surrounds and a suspended fireplace provides a point of connection. The dwelling links rural and contemporary living into a home which escapes the hustle and bustle of everyday urbanity.
