The house develops along the brink of a steep drop in the natural terrain, almost at the borderof the property. The design concept was based on a zone organization which would envelopboth interior and exterior activities, in a dialogue with the surrounding natural phenomena.

The variations of natural light in the folds of the building mass, the nearby and distant views,the weather changes and topiary disguises depending on the season, install a set ofconceptual and visual relationships which become the main factor influencing the potential ofarchitectural space.

The building therefore becomes a mediator between the user and the landscape, in anarrative field upon which different streams of investigation intersect. The microcosm createdallows participation in a series of actions related to the familiar and the unfamiliar, the artificialand the natural, the foreground and background, with the everyday routine and theextraordinary, stimulating sensations and feelings that correspond to the potential atmosphereof the moment. In this “journey”, experiences and spaces intersect each other, sometimes ascontradictory and sometimes as parallel events.
