Residential, Educational and Landscape Complex

Residential, Educational and Landscape Complex

Linked to a metro line, Haugerud is a degenerated suburb area in Oslo where it is found repetitions of big unstructured residential blocks of the 70’s surrounded by open areas without any urban character. The categorical, flexible and iconic proposal consists of the succession of edification rings encompassing a big garden that links the metro to a nearby forest. This strategy creates a new identity for the neighborhood; a sense of belonging and it recycles the residual spaces between blocks as it creates new relationships between the already existing monotonous elements. The total project consists in 31,000 sq. ft. of residential space, 40,000 sq. ft. of space for commercial use, 30,000 sq. ft for educational use, and 7,000 sq.ft. of infrastructure.
