Revitalization Volvo Cars Netherlands

Entropal BV as Manufacturers

Recently the festive reopening took place at Volvo Cars Netherlands in Beesd. The property, located directly besides the A2 highway has an excellent visibility for all road users passing by. The revitalization was done by construction company J.C.van Kessel. Project leader Herman de Leeuw: “The office facades are fit with new aluminium cladding. In addition the entrance has been revamped and give a modern look, fitting the Volvo concept. Besides, we facilitated the renovation of the forecourt and the parking lot. "As one would expect from a car brand there is a clear focus on the sustainability aspect. The largest amount of electric charging points in the Netherlands can be found here. As many as 50 cars can be charged simultaneously.

Bob Nieuwenhuys, sales manager Entropal: "For the renovation of the entrance and the roof we delivered the facades. Modern aluminium profiles of the well-known quality brand Schüco are applied”. With its Aluminium Window System, Schüco brings the functional advantages perfectly in line with architectural and design aspects.

In the renovated roof, aluminium door profiles are applied. The new Schüco Aluminium Door Systems are mainly used in the fields of building security and building automation. A door not only provides access to a building, but must meet high requirements in terms of thermal insulation, security, functionality and design. "The timeless design of this door system at Volvo Cars Netherlands is nicely combined with the Schüco aluminium window system. This meets the highest requirements in terms of design and comfort, "Bob explains.

Construction company J.C. van Kessel also completely revitalizedthe entrance, reception and showroominside. "These areas have undergone a complete redesign by the standards of Volvo and can serve as an example. Everything has been renewed, including ceilings, floors and lighting,"says René Traa, IT & Facility Manager of Volvo Cars Netherlands. "As soon as you walk into the building you notice the Swedish look and feel. It is light, spacious and has a very open feeling to it. In the showroom a well thoughtlighting system is applied, giving each car the spotlight it deserves. Several meeting rooms are created, as well as a living room so there is space for relaxing conversations. Clever use of glass partition walls give the rooms a light and open character."
