Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol

The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol contains works by masters of the Dutch Golden Age. It is located inside the airport terminal beyond passport control on ‘Holland Boulevard’, the corridor connecting the E and F Piers. Passengers can view a selection of works by famous masters of the Dutch Golden Age, all from the Rijksmuseum collection. The museum consists of a suspended, gold-coloured space and a shop, located below the museum. The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage (ICN) has performed an extensive study into the possible effects of vibration, climate conditions, and security aspects. The design of the suspended, gold-coloured space is based on the results of these studies. The two large glass windows in the museum were designed especially for the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol.
