In the second participation at CASACOR São Paulo, the Sala 2 Arquitetura presents the “Sala Clareira” in the 2025 edition. The 42m² living room interprets the theme of the 38th exhibition, “Sowing Dreams,” through a sensory and timeless journey. The space proposes a fusion between urban construction and nature, creating multisensory experiences from this convergence. Inspired by a dense forest, the project acts as a symbolic filter between the fast pace of the metropolis and the organic rhythm of nature. The exhibition takes place from May 27 to August 3 at Parque da Água Branca, in São Paulo.
Upon entering the space, visitors are welcomed by a dense and contained hall, with lowered walls and ceiling covered in fabric that evokes the feeling of a dense forest. On the floor, extending throughout the entire space, Avant carpet invites a sensory immersion from the very first step. As one walks through it, the sensation underfoot resembles the softness of grass, offering a sense of comfort, further enhanced by carefully selected natural scents and sounds. The initial hall encourages the slowing of the mind and the relaxation of the senses. “We sought to create an environment that eliminates what is not essential, allowing for moments of mental clarity rarely experienced in everyday life” explains Vanessa Martins Miranda, architect and director of Sala 2 Arquitetura.
After the hall, the space unfolds as a refuge among trees, bringing a sense of decompression to the new environment—filled with light and featuring high ceilings. The sloped wooden ceiling introduces semiotic elements that guide the gaze toward the large windows of the historic building. With the support of translucent blinds, natural light is gently filtered. The walls, clad in walnut wood panels, warm the space and evoke the texture of tree trunks. At the center of the living area, the organically curved sofa recalls natural landscapes and establishes a fluid dialogue with the artwork Ondulante by Amalia Giacomini. Installed above the sofa, the composition of metal chains seems to come to life, moving in a hypnotic way.
The coffee table echoes the project sinuous forms and reinforces the poetic linearity of nature. The sculptural fireplace, generous in size, allows for extended moments of togetherness without losing the intimate atmosphere. The focal point of the space is the golden armchair by Folio Living, strategically positioned at the center of the room as a representation of the sun.
Beneath the windows, at the highest point of the ceiling, a marble shelf stands out, balancing the contemporary with the ancestral. The composition is enriched by signature design pieces, as the side table by EmDoisDesign, the Carro Bar Bobo by Gustavo Bittencourt, wall sconces by Estúdio Rain and WJ Iluminação, and the floor lamp by Estudio Dentro, elements that engage in dialogue with one another and add sophistication to the space.
