The building, located on a street in the Historic Center of Vila do Conde, is located on a plot of approximately 120m2, which, due to its privileged location, enjoys views of the river, city and sea. It is a building of traditional construction, which was in a poor general state of repair. The rigorous architectural survey and constructive diagnosis were fundamental for the decision-making of the operations to be carried out, allowing the intervention to be, as far as possible, surgical and judicious, with the aim of safeguarding existing elements that could be conserved, and value the investment by transforming it into 5 different apartments.

In this specific case, it was possible to recover and integrate numerous values, namely the wooden windows, correcting anomalies and poor interventions carried out over time.

In the outdoor space, previously occupied by a spurious construction, two new apartments were proposed, which ensure the necessary elevation transitions and a better landscape setting for the building.
