SCAPE BENCH for Kortrijk (FLAX) is a sculptural landscape bench that positions the body differently within space. It breaks away from the conventional sitting posture and invites users to sit, lie, lean, or balance. In doing so, it reshapes not only the relationship with the surroundings, but also with one another. SCAPE BENCH encourages interaction and encounter.

Through its bold form and colour, SCAPE BENCH activates the site in which it is placed and gives new meaning to public space.SCAPE BENCH is adaptable in scale, colour, and composition. Each iteration develops its own identity, tailored to the context, location, or commissioner.
