Schenkeveld Advocaten, one of the largest law firms in North Holland, relocated to a new office directly opposite the courthouse in Alkmaar. The interior spans two floors, each with its own function and atmosphere, while sharing a consistent design language throughout.
The workspace floor focuses on creating a warm and comfortable environment that supports both concentration and collaboration. Shared areas encourage informal interaction, while a large acoustic meeting niche provides a more sheltered setting for conversations and focused work. Custom-made bookcases create visual calm, provide storage and offer subtle privacy between workstations. Oak-framed partitions with rounded corners and carefully positioned openings add warmth and softness to the interior.
The client floor has a more representative character, designed around welcoming clients and facilitating meetings. High ceilings, open views and a carefully selected palette of materials and furniture create a refined yet approachable atmosphere. Flexible meeting rooms with a sliding partition allow the space to adapt to different types and sizes of meetings.
By carrying the same materials, shapes and bespoke details across both floors, the design creates a cohesive identity for Schenkeveld Advocaten. The result is a professional yet inviting workplace that balances functionality, collaboration, privacy and representation.
