A hybrid container that celebrates sharing and urban culture.
Section80 Bar is located in the Isola district of Milan, on the ground floor of a building whose distinctive piano-tail shape inspired the concept: to tie the inner container as closely as possible to the city, recreating the idea of an urban sub-portico in which the boundaries between inside and outside become blurred and the outside merges with the inside, and vice versa.
The interior spaces were designed to accommodate and flexibly manage the different souls of the venue: a wine bar with a kitchen, a listening bar with a state-of-the-art cinematic LED wall, and a bookstore area created in collaboration with Edicola 518.

The stylistic and material choices respond to the need to create a place projected toward the urban, where domesticity remains in the background. The black concrete grit floor blends with the asphalt of the sidewalks that surround the building, while the furniture and interior elements are made of industrial materials usually used for the exterior, such as galvanized steel and facade plaster that covers all the walls. Installations and technological elements are not hidden, but enhanced in their function and aesthetic language, consistent with the overall approach of the project.

In the main hall, the ceiling is covered in pyramidal sound-absorbing panels, designed to create acoustic comfort that enhances the high-fidelity sound system, custom-made by H.A.N.D. Hi-Fi. The lighting design is based on a repeating linear graphic sign, which draws a new horizon and allows the intensity and color of light to be modulated, creating ever-changing scenarios within the halls.
Along the storefronts facing Via Farini, a system accommodates display elements to the outside and steps covered in black rubber to the inside. Thanks to two movable elements and a custom-designed modular table system, the space can be reconfigured according to different uses and scenarios.

All the handles were designed for the occasion with a pop language that winks at street art, as were the black-painted plywood stools and the stackable stainless steel trolleys in the library area.
The outdoor dehor completes the experience with a long bench made of galvanized sheet metal profiles, to which round tables are attached.
