Sentul Markt Lane thoughtfully integrates markets, restaurants, and event spaces into a vibrant gastronomic and social hub. Narrow, winding walkways lined with characterful restaurants invite visitors to wander and explore, while rooftop dining terraces offer sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.

The pavilion architecture draws inspiration from regional Indonesian vernacular design. Its architectural language combines patterned screens, contemporary pavilion forms, stone horizontals, and locally inspired elements to create an urban sanctuary where people can gather, dine, and immerse themselves in the energy of a thoughtfully designed public realm.
Pavilions & Walkways
Elevated walkways and layered façades shape the landscape, allowing natural light and ventilation to enhance the environment. Shaded zones, landscaped pockets, and intimate seating areas ensure the space remains comfortable and welcoming throughout the day.

The Details
A closer look at the Gastro Market reveals a striking interplay of materials that merges industrial aesthetics with organic influences. The façade and mezzanine enclosure are defined by cascading vertical fins in Corten steel, arranged in varying lengths to create a sculptural, layered composition. This dynamic treatment recalls Indonesia’s dense forest canopies and the stalactites found within its limestone caves, grounding the design in its local context. The weathered patina of the Corten steel enriches the space, evoking aged timber and oxidized surfaces characteristic of the humid tropical climate.
Contrasting the warm rust tones of the cladding, bold black metal-clad pillars with a brushed finish provide structural clarity and sophistication. These sleek elements balance the organic irregularity of the fins with a clean, contemporary expression.
Markt Lane Facade – Gastro Market
The Street Retail pavilions incorporate precast concrete vertical divisions at ground level, establishing rhythm and a sense of solidity. Complementing this, wood-finished metal pillars soften the raw texture of the concrete and introduce a more organic character. Andesite stone forms a strong horizontal transition at the first floor, emphasizing the separation between levels. Above, terracotta-panelled screens introduce warmth and permeability, filtering light and encouraging natural ventilation. The composition is completed with a black metal-clad roof in a brushed finish, adding a refined contemporary edge.
The Central Pavilion
The Central Pavilion continues the project’s refined material palette, enhancing both structural presence and visual identity. Entrances are framed by textured vertical precast concrete, giving the ground level a strong and grounded expression. At the upper levels, Corten metal contrasts with sleek black brushed metal cladding along the roof edges.
The Valley Dining Pavilion further emphasizes its terraced spatial arrangement through carefully layered materials. Vertical precast concrete elements define the lower floor, while Andesite stone separates levels and introduces natural texture. Open terraces on the upper levels are enclosed with Corten metal railings, and a black metal-clad brushed roof ties together the pavilion’s balance of raw and refined materials.
The Coffee Labs feature two distinct material palettes. The first combines gold perforated metal panels with black brushed metal cladding, creating a refined and contemporary elegance. The second introduces wood-finished metal paired with perforated panels, offering a softer, nature-inspired aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Together, these materials create spaces that feel both contemporary and deeply connected to their surroundings, an architectural fusion of industrial rawness and tropical modernism.
