Sorvetiño's first store was set up in Copacabana. The existing space is approximately 30m², with a long, narrow layout and low ceilings due to the mezzanine.
The start of the project was mainly due to the sectorization of the program of needs: production, stock and service.
The equipment and workbenches were arranged on the sides, creating a central circulation corridor. Quick stock is concentrated on the shelves at the back, and by demolishing the central part of the mezzanine slab, upper shelves appear, dedicated to heavy stock.
The division between production and customer service is made through a curtain of slightly translucent blue PVC strips, providing a partial view for the customer. The service area is made up of the soft machine, a support shelf, a fixed counter with the toppings and a mobile cashier, who becomes the staff's gateway to the interior of the establishment.
The edge of the counter, together with the slope of the building's façade, allows customers to enter the front of the store, giving the feeling of “being inside”. The cut-out slab - irregular in shape and with exposed concrete - increases the ceiling height in the service area, and when you look up, you see the brand symbol in neon fixed to the ceiling.
The round pillars at the entrance are stripped and left in exposed concrete, making a composition with the existing period tiles - which were found behind the old plaster. The choice of new materials is totally linked to the brand's visual identity, which includes shades of blue, white, beige and yellow. In addition to incorporating stainless steel, it recalls the factory aesthetic.
The furniture, placed on the sidewalk, is light, small and stackable, to facilitate storage and day-to-day logistics.
