The project’s defining character emerges from its location on a site facing a lushly landscaped square at the heart of an urban setting.
The design explores the spatial quality of porous boundaries through linear, permeable outlines, seeking to integrate the architecture with the surrounding green spaces. The resulting massing is composed of transparent and opaque surfaces, allowing fluid natural light. The typology of the long, slender tree trunks that stand out in the square is echoed in the architecture through a rhythmic vertical articulation.
The architecture seeks to capture this sense of openness and bring the presence of greenery, light, and air into the interior, transforming living into a natural extension of the landscape.
The layout is organized along circulation axes defined by use, where distinct horizontal planes are connected by an expressive vertical sequence illuminated by zenithal light.
Wood, used as a natural material in a unified façade language, explores materiality as a defining element of a singular architectural expression.
Openings allow natural light to permeate the house in multiple ways, filtering through façade elements and openings of varied geometries, shaping the interior through a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, solid and void.
The entrance doors, conceived as generously scaled pivoting panels that can assume different positions, regulate the degree of permeability and redirect the paths of light.
Each beam reveals a geometry, marking the passage of time.
