In St.Jacques-de-la-Lande a complex with 200 apartments has been designed for ZAC de la Morinais area, a masterplan developed by Jean-Pierre Pranlas-Descours architect, where the focus on the layout of private and public areas gives to the city functional versatility and social diversity. The project is implanted alongside the street border to meet the alignment of the neighbourhood and to achieve an exchange between the public and private spaces. The buildings with white façades on the street side play the integration of the project in the area and enrich its expressivity. A metal balustrade (French peculiarity) strictly related to the concrete structure ensures the unity of the whole design and provides dynamic force. The brown façades of the islands reveal a more domestic nature and assert their difference and originality and on the courtyard side they fit the individual expression of the dwellings complex.
