Sybrin is a dynamic and successful software development company which approached dhk thinkspace as part of their office relocation. Their previous premises were a maze of isolated spaces and one of the main drivers for the new design was to bring departments together and open up communication between the teams.

Occupying an entire floor, the challenge was to ensure that the different divisions retained their own identity, and were provided with the spaces that facilitated their individual tasks while still maintaining an activity-based collaborative area.

We achieved free flow in the workspace through the design and use of various purpose-driven desking systems and strategically located jumps desks, while common areas and meeting rooms were placed at the centre of the environment between divisions, allowing collaborative spaces.

Colour inspiration was drawn from the extensive Sybrin corporate identity, and we brought in facets of their business into the workspace design through textures and various visual elements.
