This house was located in a residential area in Fukuoka City. I tried to connect a garden and a road with the house by a large atrium. In addition, a large opening is made in the gable, in order to connect the house inside with outside directly and to take the sunlight to the room greatly.

As a structural uniqueness, the surface rigidity method using two-by-six material and structural material is adopted. As a result, the width of the living and dining space is 5.5m, and the ceiling height is 6m at maximum.

As another point, in order to emphasize the structure that forms the atrium space, the bottom end of the ceiling beam is appearent. In addition, by making thin and light fittings such as handrails and fences, the structure stands out in contrast.
