Designing Workspaces That Reflect Innovation

Studio AsA as Interior Architects

Tarz Distributors, a premier distributor of high-end perfume and beauty products in India, entrusted us with creating a workspace that mirrors the elegance of its global offices. As part of the Chalhoub Group from the Middle East, Tarz's international locations, particularly in Dubai, embody a clean, minimalist approach. Inspired by these, our team at Studio AsA diligently studied their Dubai office as a benchmark to craft a that perfectly aligns with Tarz’s ethos of delivering luxury and quality.

Spanning 15,000 sq. ft., the multifaceted layout is designed to encourage dynamic interactions and enhance performance. The space is divided into client zones, informal pockets, and private areas, each thoughtfully crafted to elevate both function and form. Upon entering, the neutral backdrop is accented by subtle textures and materials like clear glass, thin aluminium frames, wooden tabletops, and vitrified tile flooring—creating a spacious, light-filled environment.

The core workspace is punctuated by custom-designed partition shelves from Tiace Furniture, along with breakout areas furnished with soft seating, promoting both collaboration and concentration. High desks and movable furniture further enhance flexibility, effortlessly adapting to various work modes. The passageways are laid with vitrified tiles, while overhead, a perforated metal ceiling with 50mm circular cutouts houses lighting fixtures and conceals service lines.

One of the standout features is the glass-walled meeting room that projects into the workspace. It disrupts the monotony while maintaining the open flow, using clear glass and dark aluminium framing to preserve a sense of transparency and visual connectivity. The abundant natural light energizes the space, promoting creativity and dialogue.

Another unique feature is the CEO’s cabin, which is dominated by light, neutral tones that create a sense of calm and spaciousness. Large windows allow ample natural light to flood the space, while the minimalist furniture creates a professional yet calm environment.

Private phone booths are nestled within vibrant, acoustic-lined nooks, providing a pop of colour and privacy for focused conversations.
The layout also features an expansive café, which serves as a versatile social hub, encouraging interaction and collaboration, making it an essential component of the workspace.
