We at Studio AsA believe that workplace design should reflect a company’s identity while creating an environment that supports collaboration, productivity, and well-being. When Mindbowser approached us to design their office in Baner, Pune, we saw an opportunity to create a vibrant and contemporary workspace that brings together functional planning, expressive forms, and a distinctive brand identity.
Our approach focused on creating an open and intuitive layout that encourages interaction while maintaining clearly defined areas for focused work. The reception sets the tone for the experience, featuring a smooth, curved counter against a vertical timber-slatted backdrop bearing the Mindbowser brandmark. Above, a striking black soffit with sweeping, ribbon-like light cutouts draws visitors into the workspace, establishing a sense of movement and continuity. Warm cognac leather seating and subtle black-and-gold accents add character to the welcoming entrance.
As we moved into the main workspace, we used a combination of spatial planning and material transitions to define different functions without relying on rigid partition walls. Wide central corridors create clear circulation paths, while workstation clusters are organised to support everyday work. Large-format beige floor tiles mark the main walkways, transitioning into textured grey carpet tiles beneath the workstations. Custom light-wood planters introduce greenery between desk clusters, bringing natural elements into the workplace while creating softer visual boundaries.
The ceiling became an important element in addressing both aesthetics and acoustic comfort. Exposed services, including ducts and fire-safety elements, were integrated into a carefully composed overhead design. Custom oval LED fixtures with soft-blue acoustic felt cores add a sculptural quality to the ceiling while helping manage ambient noise across the open work areas. Linear lighting and suspended acoustic elements further establish rhythm and visual continuity throughout the office.
At the heart of the workspace, we designed a multi-purpose townhall arena that brings the team together for presentations, stand-ups, and informal discussions. Light-wood stepped platforms provide flexible seating, allowing the space to adapt to different activities. Complementing this central feature, vibrant teal ottomans, purple velvet sofas, and curvilinear lounge chairs create informal breakout areas that encourage spontaneous interactions and moments of relaxation. An elevated planter with a tree introduces a natural focal point, transforming the central space into an inviting place for pause and connection.
The leadership office follows a more understated design language. Full-height glass partitions with horizontal blinds allow natural light to travel through the space while providing privacy when required. A marble-topped desk, modular storage wall, and muted cream seating establish a composed and refined atmosphere. The conference room continues this thoughtful approach through suspended acoustic felt baffles in soft turquoise and integrated audiovisual technology, creating an environment suited to focused discussions and presentations.
Throughout the project, we balanced a neutral foundation of warm timber, soft greys, and muted whites with carefully placed accents of teal and purple. These colours bring energy and reinforce the workplace’s visual identity without overwhelming the overall design. Ergonomic workstations, layered lighting, indoor planting, and flexible collaborative settings further contribute to an environment designed around the varied needs of a contemporary workplace.
In transforming Mindbowser’s office, we brought together organic geometry, functional planning, acoustic considerations, and expressive material choices to create a workplace that balances individual focus with collective engagement. At Studio AsA, we believe that a well-designed office should do more than accommodate daily operations; it should reflect the organisation’s identity and create meaningful opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, and grow.
