Techfit is a health and lifestyle startup that requested a very open, well-integrated office space layout with a youthful and relaxed look. Two large rooms in the building were merged to fit the requested program, consisting of a workspace integrated with a multi-purpose social space, where informal meetings, coffee breaks, lectures, as well as yoga, functional fitness, and stretching classes could take place.
On one the sides, which has a curved geometry, an irregularly shaped grandstand was created, forming a space similar to an arena with a projector and screen. It also serves as a relaxation and meeting area for daily office activities. An island was set up in front of the stands to separate the stand area and the work space. Informal meetings are held here and it is also where some recipe videos promoted by the app are recorded.
At the opposite side of the office were located the meeting rooms, a live broadcast booth and storage for general materials. The work tables are located in the center of the office, with no divisions between them. A large linear metal shelf was installed that runs along the entire side wall, bringing unity to the office. The bathroom area includes changing rooms and showers for employees to encourage exercise.
All furniture was custom designed and developed by Macro Arquitetos, together with the architectural design and construction management.
