TERRA is a vacation home designed from a clear premise: architecture should engage with the site, the climate, and the weather, not impose itself upon them.

Conceived as a short-term rental for groups, the project offers a spatial experience where tranquility, outdoor living, and connection with the environment become the core of living. The spaces open up and flow seamlessly together, allowing vegetation, natural light, and cross-ventilation to shape the interior atmosphere.

The architectural language is developed under the concept of Wabi-Sabi, prioritizing the honest use of materials, formal simplicity, and a materiality that ages gracefully. Neutral tones, natural textures, and the conscious elimination of ornamentation reinforce a sober, timeless, and sensitive aesthetic.

Located in a warm climate zone, TERRA integrates bioclimatic architectural principles as a fundamental part of its design. Overhangs, latticework, and sunshades control direct solar radiation, reducing the heat load and the need for artificial climate control systems, while improving the environmental comfort of the interior spaces.

The building's placement responds to the natural slope of the land, transforming a technical constraint into a design opportunity. The staggered volumes create a dynamic, visually connected pathway, evoking Mediterranean architecture built on complex topographies, reinterpreted within a contemporary tropical context.

The jacuzzi is conceived as a central element of the social space, a meeting point that invites one to pause, share, and enjoy the climate. More than an addition, it is integrated into the flow as part of the project's daily ritual.

TERRA is an exercise in conscious architecture, where technique, materiality, and experience are balanced to create a refuge designed for feeling.
