Rosario Marquardt & Roberto Behar of Miami based R&R STUDIOS enrich Princeton University Art Museum exceptional outdoor art collections and bring new meaning and emotion to life in campus with a triad of art-works collectively titled—The Home We Share (2022). As Haskell Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art Mitra Abbaspour has noted, “Sited at three distinct points of congregation or entry to the new colleges, these fantastical sculptures invite communal gathering and provide a setting for individual contemplation”.
The Home We Share (2022) individual works —Flower Fields Forever, Forget Me Not and Dreaming Room—call students to a unique set of fragments of a collective open-air home. They invite students to perform with the art works, to explore home anew and develop a new sense of freedom and possibilities in their first home away from home at Princeton University.
The Home We Share (2022) three individual works of art striking pink and multicolored presence perform as instant landmarks and emotional monuments at Yeh College and New College West recently completed residential colleges. The projects are places of encounter, spaces to cultivate freedom and imagination and together will frame memories of friendship and camaraderie at Princeton University.
The Home We Share (2022) art-works trio inaugurates a new understanding of architecture as public art and a conception of outdoor art works as social sculptures. The low-tech interactive projects are simultaneously familiar, intimate and unprecedented inventions. They perform as poetic events and inspirational moments within the campus.
