Starting from the wide foyer, where the home gently reveals its character. A palette of warm neutrals, subtle metallic accents, and carefully curated textures creates an atmosphere of understated elegance.

For the homeowner, luxury was never about excess. She envisioned a residence that could seamlessly support her multifaceted lifestyle: a home where family moments, creative pursuits, client meetings, and entertaining could co-exist effortlessly. While the exterior had to be untouched, every design intervention has been carefully considered to ensure that functionality and beauty worked hand in hand.

The living area is designed as an inviting social hub. A generous Minotti L-shaped sofa anchors the space, encouraging both intimate conversations and lively gatherings. Overhead, a sculptural chandelier commands attention, while layers of ambient and task lighting create an ever-changing mood throughout the day. Artworks and artefacts lend personality and depth, becoming focal points against a restrained backdrop of refined finishes.

The most thoughtful transformations is a discreet corner that has been reimagined as a multifunctional den. Equipped with a convertible sofa and concealed storage, the space effortlessly transitions from a private consultation room for the fashion designer's clients to a comfortable guest suite when friends and family stay over.

The bedrooms area all customised to the occupant’s preference. The master suite draws inspiration from nature, embracing soft textures, watercolour-inspired wall coverings, and art that evokes landscapes rather than defining them. The atmosphere is serene and restorative, while a bespoke walk-in wardrobe reflects the homeowner's discerning eye for craftsmanship and detail.

The son's bedroom embraces the city beyond its walls through a relaxed window seat that frames Pune's urban skyline, offering a quiet corner for reflection. In contrast, the teenage daughter's room balances youthful energy with warmth and practicality, where plush carpets soften timber flooring and create a welcoming retreat.

Extending the home's living experience outdoors is a beautifully conceived terrace that feels less like an exterior space and more like an additional room under the sky. Stone-clad surfaces, warm timber decking, and lush planted edges create an intimate setting for relaxation and entertaining. Layered seating, a lounger, and a compact bar make it equally suited for quiet evenings or vibrant gatherings. Overlooking Koregaon Park's green belt, the house gets abundant natural light and cross-ventilation, allowing the family to remain connected to nature from sunrise to sunset.

Materiality plays a significant role in creating cohesion throughout the residence. A continuous marble flooring palette connects the common areas, while timber floors and handcrafted rugs introduce warmth and softness within the private zones. Flexstone cladding enhances the terrace's tactile quality, creating a sense of enclosure and comfort. The kitchen, fitted with Poggenpohl base units finished in PU, combines precision and practicality, while a striking Salinite stone dining table serves as a sculptural centerpiece. Furnishings sourced from Posh Living and rugs from Jaipur Rugs further enrich the interiors, layering the spaces with character and texture.

What ultimately sets this residence apart is its remarkable sense of balance. It is luxurious without being loud, curated without feeling staged, and functional without sacrificing beauty. Collectible design pieces sit comfortably alongside everyday family life, while flexible spaces adapt to changing needs with ease. Completed in just five months through a close collaboration between client and designer, the home stands as a celebration of thoughtful design where every corner invites not only admiration, but meaningful living.
