In the base of a new skyscraper near Bryant Park, The Urban Garden Room invites the public into a sculptural environment where giant forms covered in mosses and ferns will grow wild. The microclimate of the glassy room will provide a comfortable atmosphere for seating on tiled platforms and benches. WRT, in collaboration with artist Dorothy Ruddick, designed these sculptural forms. In addition, WRT is working with Mosaiculture, a company based out of Montréal who specializes in large scale vegetated sculpture, on the fabrication.
