Thirty Tigers

Manuel Zeitlin Architects was approached by the creative music management firm, Thirty Tigers to design the renovation for their new office in thefast-growing Nashville neighborhood known as Wedgewood Houston.  The neighborhood, located blocks from downtown Nashville, is vibrant and dynamic with a mix of light industrial, creative office, residential and restaurants.

The existing 11,000 square foot pre-engineered metal warehouserequired a complete structural retrofit.  New exterior skin references the original low-tech industrial metal siding but was reinterpreted for a fresh, contemporary look more in tune with the Thirty Tigers brand. Other industrial elements wore reclaimed from the existing building to reference the building’s former life as a warehouse.

The redesigned space includes open office, private offices, a small loft apartment for the owners who split their time between Nashville and California. Improvements also includedall new building systems.

MZA worked closely with neighborhood makers Five String Furniture (now Mesa) and Southern Lights Electric to create custom fixtures and furnishings for the new office space.
