This dilapidated country house has been pulled to the present day by a complete architectural transformation. In addition, sustainability and modern ease of use have also been considered. The country house, built in the English Cottage style in 1931, stands on a beautiful location of approximately 4 hectares.

BAU took care of the project from sketch design to implementation. The country house has been adapted to the sustainable wishes and conveniences of our time, but has also undergone a complete architectural transformation. For example, it has a new, insulated facade and a new roof. The windows and doors have been replaced, raised and aligned to make the mansion more peaceful and stately. The old slate tiles on the roof have been replaced by anthracite-colored slate tiles, which do better justice to the masonry chimneys. The roof overhang is fitted with a decorative zinc gutter around the main building, in order to enhance the horizontal details of the English Cottage style. The interior of the Landhuis has been completely stripped and rearranged. Spatial proportions, symmetry and lines of sight play an important role here. Each room has its own view and identity, but together the spaces form a peaceful whole.
