Zyeta as Architects

Trelleborg, Bengaluru- Corporate Office Interior Design by Zyeta

Zyeta collaborated closely with the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions team in India, to create a workspace that is timeless, fun, fresh  and energetic, and also represents the technologically driven identity of the company perfectly

Being an innovation-driven company, their design brief sought one that introduced the altruistic qualities of transparency, connectivity and collaboration for both staff and visitors. It would also create a unique atmosphere that would be congruent with the company’s reputation of being technological trendsetters and pioneers.

The Strategic location of the building was fully used to its potential to house the office fit out and utilize the space to its best. The reception and innovation center was located near the lobby area to maximize on the façade glazing—which offered an exquisite, eye-plesaing view of the flyover network connecting two important nodes of the Bangalore city. The top floor location also provided added benefits of more natural light and a better view—adding more sanctity to the daily work life.

Design-wise, there were creative touches that brought alive an inspiring milieu: The reception table, inspired by the company logo, gave a sense of iconography to the place. The island ceiling of cylindrical extrusions played the role of a huge man-made chandelier that complimented the table. The combination of these two elements, flavored by the right selection of single monolithic seating made this space timeless and eye catching.

The Layout is configured in a way that provides a clear demarcation for public (visitors), meeting, office and collaborative, social spaces. The overall office is divided into parallel parts--the central mass, which houses the collaboration spaces and phone booths; informal meeting spaces, which are guarded by six foot wide corridors on either side with the workstations towards the building façade, ensuring that there is a maximum inflow of natural light in the floor.

The Office space is further divided into three segments, each segment is self-sustained with cabins, meeting rooms and workstations. The common central social spine (collaboration spaces, informal meeting spaces) caters to each segment collectively.

This flexbility in design was made possible by Trelleborg’s open-mind and willingness to experiment according to changing trends regarding workspace design, and also empowered Zyeta to think of the best ideas it could reagrding making the perfect office interiors for the company. The resulting design also provided a layout which was highly collaborative and social.

Overall Zyeta’s collaboration with Trelleborg created a design with a deep consideration of the company’s business philosophy and corporate identity. This unique workspace represents fun, vibrancy and celebrates a culture that values creativity above all else—in order to touch human lives each and every day.
