The Truliant Operations Center is a transformative adaptive reuse project that reimagines a vacant 150,634 square foot Macy’s department store as a dynamic, sustainable workplace. Serving Truliant Federal Credit Union’s call center, training, and office functions, the design embodies the organization's mission to improve lives by putting members first.

The centerpiece of the design is a central steel staircase beneath an expansive skylight, maximizing natural light and fostering connectivity across three floors. Workspaces are organized into flexible “neighborhoods” connected by broad corridors that encourage movement and collaboration. This thoughtful layout supports a vibrant, inclusive environment tailored to a diverse workforce.

Sustainability is central to the project. The reuse of the existing structure significantly reduces environmental impact, while features like 742 bifacial solar panels, LED lighting, and efficient HVAC systems contribute to energy savings and resilience. Future plans for rooftop beehives further reflect a commitment to local ecosystems and regenerative design.

Designed for adaptability and long term value, the center prioritizes occupant well being through access to natural light, wellness amenities, and varied workspace configurations. It demonstrates how innovation and sustainability can coexist to create a healthy, inspiring, and cost effective workplace. As a model of design excellence, the project showcases how adaptive reuse can revitalize a space, strengthen community ties, and deliver lasting impact.
