Upper West Parc addresses the problems of contemporary urban lifestyles by providing for open public spaces on every level. These spaces are then arranged in collected stacks that form distinct communities. These neighborhood stacks provide a smaller scale neighborhood with specific characters creating cohesion and association among the residents. Taken together, these neighborhood stacks provide much needed communal space for the community, forming a more complete, more cosmopolitan urban community. While the neighborhood stacks address the individuality and variety of the neighborhood levels, the Upper West Parc as a whole expresses a strong and coherent singular character. The strikingly brilliant skin of whites and glass creates a landmark effect by standing out from the skyline and providing a pure canvas for the rich colors of sunset along Manila Bay.
