Upwell is a start up business which revolutionises the way musculoskeletal care services are delivered in Australia. The space brings together Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Yoga Therapists, Massage Therapists, Exercise Physiologists and Pilates Instructors under one roof to create a collaborative ecosystem and holistic approach to healthcare. Upwell’s vision is to improve the lives of people living with pain or dysfunction by delivering collaborative, accessible and inspiring musculoskeletal care and support.
The layout and design facilitates and encourages interactions and collaboration between staff and patients within an interior that breaks the stereotype of how healthcare clinics typically look and feel. The raw and industrial building envelope is contrasted with insertion of natural materiality and planting, creating a warm, friendly and ‘down to earth’ atmosphere. Colour, signage, branding and materiality has been utilised to shift the mood and energy in the higher impact areas of the health clinic.
