This architectural project is related with recovery and physical and functional rehabilitation of a building located in the Alley of the hole, 24, classified as a World Heritage area, the same reborn next door to the Douro River and the streets and squares that this characterization zone with typical and unique architecture. Intervention is as minimalist as possible, aiming only to recreate the conditions of use in the image and according to current perspectives of a building that has lost its meaning over time, having been disfigured and transformed, because, despite its housing structure detached , worked in their recent times, as a warehouse on the ground floor and separate bedrooms on the upper floors, using users a single toilet. The building has and maintains a gross built area of 156,80 m2, on a plot with 2,60m front and 11,60m deep. Functionally adapted this building to a residential function (housing) for autonomous fires with small areas, focusing now essentially short stays, for an academic passage, but not precluding the occupation by a segment that seeks typologies low size and specific location, and in this context, proximity to Praça da Ribeira and the river guarantee such specificity, thus suiting up this project ace existing networks. The program consists of a common use space of arrival on the ground floor, where there is also a clothing treatment area to be used by all users of this residential unit.
